James’ View – Case (6x Bottles)
Bring a little of Little Wold Vineyard home to you with a case of James’ View. Inside our packaging, which is decorated with our classic pheasant logo and LWV name, there will be six bottles of our award-winning white wine.

Tasting notes
Similar to Chalk Hill White, James’ View also has notes of grapefruit when you taste it. However there are also notes of tropical fruits, which gives this wine a refreshing bite. Our second dry white, this award-winning wine is the perfect summer time tipple.
Winemaking & Ageing
The grapes are picked and pressed within 48 hours to ensure quality and minimise loss as it sits. We aim to press all our varieties separately to give us maximum choice later down the line. The must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, before being left for six months. The wine then undergoes blending trials, completed by Alice, Tom, Henry and a handful of the LWV team. Originally, James’ View was a varietal blend, made of only our Solaris grapes. Since its creation this has changed slightly as we navigate the unique challenge of being a small producer, whos harvests vary with each season. It is bottled here in South Cave, and left to rest for a couple of months before it makes its way onto your table.
Pairing
Another dry white, James’ View would suit a white fish, like sea bass in a lemon and caper dressing. The acidity in the lemon should make for a perfect match with James’ View’s own citrus notes, while the mild flavour of the fish will balance the crisp finish of the wine. Alternatively, the freshness of zucchini noodles would complement James’ View for a plant-based plate. Equally a bright goats cheese salad has the perfect blend from the crisp salad and creamy richness of the cheese that will both pair and balance James’ View in equal measure.
Like all Little Wold Vineyard wines that I have tasted, James’ View is a very good, honest wine. It comes across as a well-crafted wine from high quality ingredients.

FAQ
How often do you hold your events?
Our events are generally held at least monthly if not more depending on the time of year. We try to advertise dates around 3 months in advance.
How much wine will I consume on my visit?
Each wine sample is generally around 50-75ml. If you would like a spittoon during your visit, please let a member of the team know.
Can I bring my dog?
We are a dog friendly venue, but always ask that they are kept on a lead and that owners are respectful of other guests who may not like your fury friends as much as we do. We also polite request they DO NOT sit on our furniture.
What happens if I change my mind and can’t attend on the day I have booked?
Sadly we cannot change dates that have been booked for a whole host of reasons. If you are unable to attend an event you are booked on to, we advise you give us as much notice as possible and we will add them back to the system and try resell the tickets. If they do not sell the full amount will be lost. More can be read in our Ts &Cs.
Can I gift events?
We advise that people buy one of our ‘gift cards’ rather than booking a specific event. This means rather than loose the booking if they cannot attend, that they can book a date that works for them OR purchase wine.
Can I leave my car after the event?
While you are allowed to leave cars, they are done so at the owners risk. The properties gates will also be locked when the staff leave and are only open during opening house Please ensure you (or your guests) check what the opening times are on the day following your event.
