The Details
Our picnics have been a staple of the summer at Little Wold Vineyard, and we are pleased to bring them back for another year. Your picnic will be ready for you to collect from the Tasting Room on the date and time you have booked with us, from there you can make your way to your pitch, either located on our open terrace, where you will have endless views of the vineyard and beyond, or among the vineyard itself, where you can appreciate the vines particular beauty in the warm weather. Our picnics are thoughtfully prepared with our wine in mind, so you know every bite and sip will be a perfect match. For 2025 we are elevating our picnics, with the addition of a delectable dessert, in the form of strawberries and cream and a selection of baked goods from local supplier Craybakes.
Please note, we do offer vegan alternatives for those who require them. Please remember to fill in the dietary requirements field to ensure this can be prepared in advance of your day with us. Please be aware that due to the way our food is prepared we are unable to guarantee the absence of allergens in our products.
Please note, you will only have your pitch for your allocated booking time, once your booking time is over you are welcome to return to the Cellar Door, which we have open on Sundays 11am-4pm, where you can enjoy more drinks or snacks. We kindly ask that you do not bring your own food or drink onto the premises. We withhold the right to remove any food or drink brought onto site that has not been approved by management.
Please let us know if you have any mobility/disabilities so we can ensure we provide you with a suitable pitch – some will be further away from the parking area and will involve walking on an uneven surface.
If there happens to be poor weather on the day of your booking, we will move your pitch indoors, where you can still enjoy uninterrupted views of our vineyard, thanks to the panoramic windows looking out towards the river and beyond.
Availability
We only have six pitches available for each day we run the picnics. These events sell out quickly, so please be sure to book as soon as you can.
Price Includes
- A selection of carefully paired, locally sourced cheeses served with artesian crackers and chutney.
- The standard option comes with Laveracks caramelized onion sausage roll and Pork Pie, and salami.
- The vegetarian option comes with quiche and Laveracks cheese and onion pastry.
- Fresh tomato and basil salad.
- Pickled walnuts and mixed olives.
- Hand cooked crisps.
- New for 2025: strawberries and cream, a selection of Craybakes goods.
*Vegan picnic option is available, please let us know of this dietary requirement upon making the booking.
Added Extras
If you wish to have extra guests on your pitch, it will cost £20 per head for anyone over the age of 18. For those who want to bring children with them, it will cost an extra £5, which will provide the child with one lunchbox, on top of your picnic. You can add up to two bottles of wine to your booking (prices listed with the wines), and a range of alcoholic and soft drinks are available for purchase from the Tasting Room on the day.

FAQ
How often do you hold your events?
Our events are generally held at least monthly if not more depending on the time of year. We try to advertise dates around 3 months in advance.
How much wine will I consume on my visit?
Each wine sample is generally around 50-75ml. If you would like a spittoon during your visit, please let a member of the team know.
Can I bring my dog?
We are a dog friendly venue, but always ask that they are kept on a lead and that owners are respectful of other guests who may not like your fury friends as much as we do. We also polite request they DO NOT sit on our furniture.
What happens if I change my mind and can’t attend on the day I have booked?
Sadly we cannot change dates that have been booked for a whole host of reasons. If you are unable to attend an event you are booked on to, we advise you give us as much notice as possible and we will add them back to the system and try resell the tickets. If they do not sell the full amount will be lost. More can be read in our Ts &Cs.
Can I gift events?
We advise that people buy one of our ‘gift cards’ rather than booking a specific event. This means rather than loose the booking if they cannot attend, that they can book a date that works for them OR purchase wine.
Can I leave my car after the event?
While you are allowed to leave cars, they are done so at the owners risk. The properties gates will also be locked when the staff leave and are only open during opening house Please ensure you (or your guests) check what the opening times are on the day following your event.
